Obituary of Carolyn Yvonne Roddenberry

Carolyn Yvonne Roddenberry, 80 of Bristol, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in Panama City. Carolyn was born in Chipley, Florida to the late James David Hyatt and Lora Merrit Odom. She lived in Liberty County most of her life and was a member of the Bristol Church of God. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Wanda Reddick and her brother Danny Hyatt. Survivors include her husband James Thomas Roddenberry of Bristol; her sons, Tommy Roddenberry and his wife Janet of Bristol and Steve Roddenberry and his wife Stacey of Bristol; her daughter, Tasha Roddenberry of Bristol; a brother, Gary Hyatt of Tallahassee; her grandchildren, Ryan Roddenberry and his wife Aleah, Bryan Roddenberry and his wife Tiffany, Shelby Roddenberry, Shari Roddenberry, Shann Pforte and her husband Dylan, Jordan Reddick and his wife Kala; her great grandchildren, Shelby Copas, Rylan and Drew Roddenberry, Farren Pforte, Jillian and Maren Reddick and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family. Services to honor and to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2021, at Bristol Church of God with Reverend Terry Blackburn officiating, visitation will be one hour before service time. Interment will be at Meacham Cemetery in Bristol. Mask are required to be worn at all times while inside building, per Family request. Adams Funeral Home is trusted with the arrangements.
